Dr. Var Türk is a graduate of Başkent University (LL.B., with a first degree) and Ankara University (LL.M., Ph.D.). She was appointed research assistant of maritime law and the law of the sea at the Ankara University Faculty of Law Maritime Law and the Law of the Sea Department in 2012. She has retained the title of assistant professor at the same faculty since 2023. During her LL.M., she spent a research period at the University of London Institute ofAdvanced Legal Studies, and during her Ph.D., she spent a research period at Tulane University.
She is co-editor of Legal Status of Submarine Cables, Pipelines and ABNJ (2017); The Legal Regime of Underwater Cultural Heritage and Marine Scientific Research (2020); Türkiye’s Rights over Marine Energy Resources in the World (2024). She is the author of Taşıma Hukukunda Eşya Üzerinde Tasarruf Hakkı (The Right of Control in Law on Carriage of Goods) (2023).
La Dr. Var Türk se graduó de la Universidad de Başkent (LL.B., con primer título) y de la Universidad de Ankara (LL.M., Ph.D.). Fue nombrada asistente de investigación de derecho marítimo y derecho del mar en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Ankara, Departamento de Derecho Marítimo y Derecho del Mar en 2012. Ha conservado el título de profesora asistente en la misma facultad desde 2023. Durante su LL.M., pasó un período de investigación en el Instituto de Estudios Jurídicos Avanzados de la Universidad de Londres y durante su doctorado pasó un período de investigación en la Universidad de Tulane.
Es coeditora del Estado Jurídico de los Cables Submarinos y las ZFJN (2017); El Régimen Jurídico del Patrimonio Cultural Subacuático y de la Investigación Científica Marina (2020); Los derechos de Türkiye sobre los recursos energéticos marinos en el mundo (2024). Es autora de Taşıma Hukukunda Eşya Üzerinde Tasarruf Hakkı (El derecho de control en la legislación sobre transporte de mercancías) (2023).
