He entered the Peruvian Naval Academy on March 3, 1995, graduating as a Frigate Lieutenant in December 1999.
Graduate of naval maritime sciences and bachelor’s degree in naval engineering from the National University of Engineering-UNI, Qualified in Captaincy and Coast Guard. He has followed the institutional courses of Basic Intelligence, Basic General Staff, system engineering course, Naval High Command program-Master of Maritime Policy; He is also an Auditor certified by Lloyds in the BWM + ANTIFOULING, ISM and ISPS Codes, ANNEX I (IOPP), is a Port State Officer and has a Master’s Degree in Maritime Affairs in the specialization of ‘Maritime Safety and Environment Administration’ at the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden.
During his service on board, he served as Chief of the 3rd. Engineering Division at COMDM-74; Head of the Operations Department of the Maritime Patrol Vessel PM-247 “RIO ZAÑA”; Commander of the Maritime Patrol Vessel PM-242 “RIO PIURA”; Second Commander and Commander of the Maritime Patrol Vessel PM-246 “RIO HUARMEY”.
He has served as Crew Officer and First Assistant of the Port Captaincies of Callao and Chimbote; Officer of the Traffic and Aquatic Police Division of the Operations Section, Head of the Search and Rescue Department and Chief of Operations of the Coast Guard Operations Command; Director of Aquatic Accident Investigation of the General Directorate of Captaincies and Coast Guard; as well as Captain of the Port of Yurimaguas and Chimbote; Deputy Head of the Captaincy District No. 2.
He currently serves as Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Operations Command
Ingresó a la Escuela Naval del Perú el 3 de marzo de 1995, graduándose como Alférez de Fragata en diciembre de 1999.
Licenciado ciencias marítimas navales y bachiller en ingenieria naval de la Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria-UNI, Calificado en Capitanías y Guardacostas. Ha seguido los cursos institucionales de Básico de Inteligencia, Básico de Estado mayor, curso ingeniería de sistema, programa de alto Mando Naval-Maestría en Política Marítima; además es Auditor certificado por la Lloyds en los Códigos BWM + ANTIFOULING, ISM e ISPS,
ANNEX I (IOPP), es oficial del Estado Rector de Puerto, cuenta con una Maestría en Asuntos Marítimos en la especialización de ‘Administración Marítima de Seguridad y Medio Ambiente’ en la Universidad Marítima Mundial en Malmö, Suecia.
Durante su servicio abordo se ha desempeñado como Jefe de la 3ra. División de Ingeniería en la COMDM-74; Jefe del Departamento de Operaciones de la Patrullera Marítima PM-247 “RIO ZAÑA”; Comandante de la Patrullera Marítima PM-242 “RIO PIURA”; Segundo Comandante y Comandante de la Patrullera Marítima PM-246 “RIO HUARMEY”.
Se ha desempeñado como Oficial de dotación y Primer Ayudante de las Capitanías de Puerto del Callao y Chimbote; Oficial de la División de Tráfico y Policía Acuática de la Sección de Operaciones, Jefe del Departamento de Búsqueda y Rescate y Jefe de Operaciones de la Comandancia de Operaciones Guardacostas; Director de Investigación de Siniestros Acuáticos de la Dirección General de Capitanías y Guardacostas; así como Capitán de Puerto de Yurimaguas y Chimbote; Sub-Jefe del Distrito de Capitanías Nº 2.
Actualmente se desempeña como Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Comandancia de Operaciones Guardacostas.
