Mr Campos Maza is a Counsellor in the Foreign Service of Peru and is currently the General Consul at the Consulate General of Peru in Buenos Aires. He has served in the Permanent Representation of Peru to UNESCO and in the Embassy of Peru in Ecuador. Additionally, Mr Campos Maza has held positions in the Directorate for Maritime Affairs, in the Directorate for Antarctic Affairs and in the Directorate for International Economic Negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
Mr Campos Maza studied Law and Political Sciences at National University of San Marcos. He holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Peru. He has graduated from the United Nations Programme-Nippon Foundation, from the National Oceanography Centre (Southampton University), from the Rhodes Academy of Ocean Law and Policy, and from the Negotiation and Leadership program at Harvard University. He has participated in Law of the Sea courses at NOVA University Lisbon, at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, at Austral University, and at the University of A Coruña. He has been a university professor of Law of the Sea until 2023. He is an associate member of the Peruvian Society of International Law.
Consejero en el Servicio Diplomático del Perú. Es Cónsul General Adjunto en el Consulado General del Perú en Buenos Aires. Ha cumplido funciones en la Representación Permanente del Perú ante UNESCO y en la Embajada de Perú en Ecuador. También en la Dirección de Asuntos Marítimos, en la Dirección de Asuntos Antárticos y en la Dirección de Negociaciones Económicas Internacionales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Perú.
Graduado en Derecho y Ciencia Política en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Es Magíster en Diplomacia y Relaciones Internacionales por la Academia Diplomática del Perú. Graduado del Programa de Naciones Unidas – Nippon Foundation- Centro Nacional Oceanográfico de la Universidad Southampton, de Rhodes Academy- Center of Ocean Law and Policy y del Programa de Negociación y Liderazgo de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Harvard. Ha llevado cursos sobre Derecho del Mar en la Universidad Nova de Lisboa, en el Instituto Británico de Derecho Internacional y Comparado, en la Universidad Austral y en la Universidad de la Coruña. Ha sido profesor universitario del curso Legislación del Mar hasta el 2023. Miembro Asociado de la Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Internacional.
