Milena Arias Schreiber is an associate researcher in Environmental
Social Sciences at the School of Global Studies at the University of
Gothenburg, Sweden. Her work focuses on the integration of social
sustainability and the role of formal and informal institutions in fisheries
governance. She has a PhD in social and economic sciences and has
carried out extensive research in fisheries including gender issues. Her
current work in the field of environmental sociology focuses on the
viability and impacts of fishing policies and multilevel governance on
small-scale fisheries in Sweden.
