{"id":2393,"date":"2024-08-20T13:08:13","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T13:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conferences.wmu.se\/colp47\/?p=2393"},"modified":"2024-09-05T22:29:42","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T22:29:42","slug":"elda-kazara-belja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/conferences.wmu.se\/colp47\/elda-kazara-belja\/","title":{"rendered":"Elda Kazara-Belja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Lecturer \/ Head of Administration, IMO International Maritime Law Institute<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Profesora Titular, Jefa de Administraci\u00f3n, Instituto de Derecho Mar\u00edtimo de la OMI<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Panel 3: Sustainable Fisheries and Marine Environmental Protection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elda Kazara-Belja<\/strong>, is currently a Senior Lecturer at the IMO International Maritime Law Institute. She joined the Institute in 2008 and has been a permanent member of the faculty ever since. She has lectured in many areas of international maritime law, including private shipping contracts, law of maritime safety, and law of the sea. She has participated in international conferences and workshops where she has delivered presentations on issues of the law of the sea, shipping law, marine environmental law, and migration at sea. Ms Kazara-Belja joined the IMO\u2019s Roster of Experts in 2012 and the FAO\u2019s Roster of Experts in 2018. She is a contributor and co-editor of the Second Volume of&nbsp;<em>The IMLI Manual in International Maritime Law<\/em>&nbsp;and author of chapters in books and articles. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as Senior Legal Officer at the Maritime Department under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Albania. In addition to her extensive academic duties, Ms. Kazara-Belja is currently the Head of Administration of the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Elda Kazara-Belja es actualmente profesora titular en el Instituto de Derecho Mar\u00edtimo Internacional de la OMI. Se incorpor\u00f3 al Instituto en 2008 y desde entonces es miembro permanente de la facultad. Ha dado conferencias en muchas \u00e1reas del derecho mar\u00edtimo internacional, incluidos los contratos de transporte privado, el derecho de la seguridad mar\u00edtima y el derecho del mar. Ha participado en congresos y talleres internacionales donde ha realizado presentaciones sobre temas de derecho del mar, derecho mar\u00edtimo, derecho ambiental marino y migraci\u00f3n en el mar. La Sra. Kazara-Belja se uni\u00f3 a la Lista de Expertos de la OMI en 2012 y a la Lista de Expertos de la FAO en 2018. Es colaboradora y coeditora del Segundo Volumen del Manual IMLI de Derecho Mar\u00edtimo Internacional y autora de cap\u00edtulos de libros y art\u00edculos. Antes de incorporarse al Instituto, trabaj\u00f3 como Oficial Jur\u00eddica Superior en el Departamento Mar\u00edtimo del Ministerio de Transporte e Infraestructura de Albania. Adem\u00e1s de sus amplias funciones acad\u00e9micas, la Sra.
