Johan Röstin, CEO of Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP), has been at its helm since 2009. He is specialized in port management and operations, as well as port development and concessions. Prior to joining CMP, he worked for Schenker AB as Division Director for Air and Ocean, Scandinavia. Johan served in many capacities with SAS Cargo from 1998 to 2004, last of which was as Sales Director for Scandinavia/Nordics. Between 1990 and 1998, he worked in managerial and sales positions for Air Express International AB and Air Cargo Express AB.

Johan currently holds various board membership positions, including as Chairman/President of the General Stevedoring Council, Vice Chairman of the Swedish Ports Association, and as Board Member of the Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises.

Johan studied Business and Sociology at the University of Lund from 1985 to 1990. In 2014, he received the distinction “Economist of the Year” from the Skåne Economic Forum, which was established in 1935 to promote a greater understanding of and interest in business relations and economic policy. The justification for the award reads:

“Johan Röstin is an economist with the whole world as his playing field. Under Johan’s leadership, Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) reaches new record highs in a highly competitive industry. CMP’s prospects are bright and the future includes plans to expand, it is a brilliant example of successful collaboration between partners in the strait. Johan’s leadership makes him a fine ambassador for the Öresund region, where he has managed to develop a world-class company in an environment of two different business cultures. A challenge that many others have not been successful at.”
