Dr. Belma Bulut obtained her PhD degree in Maritime Law from Southampton University (UK), LLM degree in International Business and Commercial Law from Manchester University (UK), and LLB degree in Law from Marmara University (Turkey). She is fully qualified as an advocate in Turkey and worked in various law firms between 2006 and 2010. Belma also worked as an arbitrator at Arbitration Committee for Consumer Problems for three years, and she was a member of board of Consumer’s Association. She wrote some articles published in prestigious maritime law journals and presented papers in various conferences including the first summer school and Maritime & Transport Law Conference at Bologna University, ATINER 10th Annual International Conference on Law, and Transport Law de lege ferenda at Leuven, Zagreb and Elbasan Universities. She also attended to the Sixth Summer Academy at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), and full scholarship was provided by Ince & Co International Law Firm.
